Samsung Galaxy S4 incoming: Unpacked event confirmed for 14 March

Good news for all those hanging on to see what the Samsung Galaxy S4 is bringing to the super-phone world, with Samsung confirming the Unpacked event will take place on March 14 at 7pm EST.

"Why does that matter?" we hear you cry. Well, Unpacked is likely to be the event that gives Samsung its Galaxy S4 launch pad - so we're almost certain that it will bring the official unveiling of the handset.

We're expecting big things from the Samsung Galaxy S4; with big tech buyers tipping that this is a phone that will impress.

Timing

With MWC 2013 in full swing, Samsung has timed the announcement to give it a little burst of publicity amid rival manufacturers showing off their new wares.

Some of the hotly tipped features of the Samsung Galaxy S4 include a new screen, which will compete with the iPhone 5's lauded retina offering, a more powerful processor and a health app.

We will obviously be bringing you all the excitement from the Unpacked event, and then all eyes will be on whether the S4 can recapture the TechRadar five-star accolade for the flagship.

The Galaxy S2 did manage to pull off that achievement, but the Galaxy S3 fell just short.
