New MSI X79 motherboard with eight memory slots

MSI has launched a new version of its X79A-GD45 motherboard for the LGA2011 platform. The board has Plus added to its name, and features eight memory slots, allowing for up to 128 GB of DDR3-2400 to be installed. The board has a 9-phase DrMOS power design, and is equipped with 'Military Class III' grade components all throughout, including Hi-c cap, solid-cap capacitors and ferrite-core spools.
