The Google Nexus 4 has sold out in the UK in less than an hour after going on sale via the Google Play website.
The latest incarnation of Google's Nexus handset went on sale at 8am this morning, but by 9am the site was back to saying "coming soon" for both the 8GB and 16GB Nexus 4 models.
The surprisingly cheap Google Nexus 4 has obviously been a hit with consumers, with handset sporting an impressive quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 4.7-inch HD display, 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera and NFC technology, all for £239 for the 8GB model, or £279 if you want 16GB inside.
O2 has managed to nab an exclusive on the Nexus 4 in the UK, so you may be able to pop down to a store today and get your mitts on the LG-made handset.
But be warned: there's no juicy Google subsidy – you'll be shelling out £399 for a PayG 16GB Nexus 4 from O2.
Tablets still in stock… for now
If you're disappointed about missing out on the Nexus 4 there's still time to snap up the new 32GB Nexus 7, with or without 3G connectivity, plus the larger 16GB Google Nexus 10 tablet.
However be warned, in Australia Google has sold out of all its new Nexus products, so expect the UK to follow suit soon.
Thanks Miles for the tip!
